A historic pair of Big Woolwich working boats built for The Grand Union Carrying Co in 1937 (Motor) & 1936 (Butty). They have both been rebottomed, and refooted in steel.
The Motor has a new scumbled/Roses & Castles boatmans cabin, rebuilt and painted Petter PD2 air cooled engine, new stern gear, new shaft, new Crowther propellor and new engine controls.
The Butty has new steel back cabin and a new boatmans cabin, yet to be fitted using some of the original painted panels/woodwork, is included in the asking price.
Both boats have just been painted in their original British Waterways livery and both hulls newly blacked.
A wonderful opportunity to own a piece of Waterways history. The owner is prepared to split the pair.
